"Accountability is important because if you aren’t doing your stuff or staying on top of everything nothing happens and you feel stuck. You have to keep moving." - Narci Wickley

Athlete of the Month

We're thrilled to introduce our Athlete of the Month.

Every month, we recognize and celebrate the dedication, passion, and hard work of an outstanding athlete in our VIP community.

We call them 'Next Play Athletes' because they are disciplined, determined, and don't let anything stop them from achieving what they want.

They always move forward because they stay focused on their Next Play.

Size and talent alone don't make up who they are; heart and character do.

They actively seek coaching and accountability, working tirelessly to improve crucial skills such as marketing and selling themselves.

Meanwhile, their peers often wait for coaches to approach them and then resort to making excuses

It is always one of the hardest decisions to make.

That said, this month we would like to honor, congratulate, and recognize, Narci Wickley.

A few quick facts about Narci Wickley:

A few quotes and insights from our athlete of the month:

1. What inspires you to work so hard towards earning a scholarship?

"I want to prove to my younger self that I can do it and can be great like my siblings."

2. Why did you think it was important to start this process now?

"It’s my senior year. It was now or never."

3. How important is accountability in achieving your scholarship?

"Accountability is important because if you aren’t doing your stuff or staying on top of everything nothing happens and you feel stuck. You have to keep moving."

4. What do you believe stops athletes from getting a scholarship?

"The biggest thing that stops athletes from getting scholarships is ego and laziness. The biggest thing that gets in their way is caring what other people think."

Are you inspired by his story and journey?

Narci Wickley stands out not only for his on-field prowess but also for his intangible qualities.

Narci attends a school that often goes unnoticed by coaches.

Despite this, he took the initiative, making calls, sending DMs and emails, and consistently honing the skills needed to secure his first offer—though it wasn't from his dream school.

We collaborated with Narci to devise a strategy aimed at capturing his dream school's attention.

Through extensive role-playing and practice, he did what many athletes shy away from: he confronted the fear of failure and what people think about him, taking the necessary steps toward his goal.

Shortly after executing our plan, Narci received an offer from his dream school.

His unwavering dedication sets a powerful example for young athletes, emphasizing the importance of pursuing one's desires fearlessly.

Narci's refusal to rely solely on others, including his coaches, for his success has propelled him both on and off the field, epitomizing the essence of a 'Next Play Athlete.'

Moreover, he has made significant strides as a communicator, leader, and businessman.

Although his journey is just beginning, I can't wait to see what he accomplishes next.
